Default building a motor

what would be your ideal 355, what would be the strongest parts?

ive heard of these but wondering how the compare, eagle crank and rods, forged, and je pistongs forged, i want to rin a 350 shot on it, wondering how these parts will compare, i know alot of local people swear by srp pistons.

why do you want to run a 350 shot? Why not build the motor for n/a HP and then add a smaller shot to make up for what your lacking i guess for lack of better terms? If you are wanting to put a shot on it I would go fully forged bottom end with splayed 4 bolt mains. This will give you the strength and rigidity in the bottom end for that straining of the shot. I have heard good and bad about eagle cranks and would rather use scat myself. But go forged there also. Also make sure you have head work done for proper flow or your wasting your time if you want to run F/I

Even with forged internals your internals are most likely not able to hold..... try a 2 stage.

SRP are not the ideal n2o piston, alot of silicone, any detonation will shatter them, JE's are the better slugs. But for your level.... you may need better.

With 300, I am 90% certain your going to need a direct port system, also a nitorus tune which will make your normal N/A running, a little slower on motor.

I would say shoot for 150-200, build the suspension and driveline, a good set of tires and a decent heads and cam package

well i plan for it to be at least a 2 stage, ill probably be leaving on 150, and have a DP 200 behind it, as for a while first half of next year(till i get a rear end) it will only be a 150-200 shot leave on 75, and a dual nozzel 2nd stage...
why would i want a 350 shot, because rather then buying a turbo kit or s/c have lots of problems tuning it, lots of expensive parts and no room to work on the car, id rather it be strong and run a bigger shot, stock ls1 run around with 225, local guy had 300 on a stock ls2, i know 350 is doable exspecially braking it into stages, 350 is a hard hit, anyways just trying to get an idea of how strong these parts are bc i got a call yesterday on a block machined with oil pump crank pistong and rods with these parts for 1600 bux, brand new in the boxes...ready to assembel and go, only thing is its a 383, i want a 355 le3, so i might be selling the crank or seeing if eagle or jegs can work something out with me, dont know too many details sorry
