Flywheel Question

Flywheel Question Im doing an A4 to M6 swap on my 95 Z. I got the entire drivetrain out of a 95 Trans Am. My question is; do I need to rebalance the flywheel before putting it on my motor? Arent they already externally balanced? My motor in my car is the origional motor and has never been touched.

i have heard that you should have the flywheel and clutch assembly balenced as a whole. I wish i would have done it for the peice of mind. I forget if the Lt1's are blanced to one side or if they are neutral balenced. Something i would ask the shop doing the work might know. Mine is unbalenced right now but like i said its a good peice of mind for the money.
Proper torque on the flywheel and clutch bolts would be all you need to worry about in my opinion. Since you are putting a stock flywheel and stock clutch on a stock motor, should be just fine if you ask me. But like it was said, wouldn't hurt anything to have the two balanced.

Cool, thanks for the help guys. I think I will have it balanced just for the piece of mind. Better now than later when I put the tranny in.
