I have the hypertech programmer and when i use the shift fimness my cars tires spin for a while when i shift to 2nd gear ....how will the shift kit work if i where to install it with the hypertech will i have a longer burn out in my 2nd gear?

 

you will have too much pressure and the the tranny wont be allowed to do its 3-4 shift. if you put any signifigant throttle pressure it will kick out of 4th and run up to the red line in 3rd. Its annoying. If you get the shift kit, take the line pressure increase out.

I had pcmforless do that for me years ago.

 

pull the line pressure back when you put the shift kit in. you dont want your tires to spin when you shift, wasted power. after i got my shift kit my stock tires would chirp a little. tune it to where you shift hard but, dont break traction. what kind of shift kit did you get?

 

Yea, that Line Pressure boost was causing it to back-shift into third in mine. I got it adjusted to lock in to 4th at 115mph, and haven't had a problem at all.
