neither do you.

LT1 power ratings were way understated, as the LS1s were too. 275 is a worthless number that can not be used for any kind of power calulcation. FWHP on the lt1 is really more in the 300-305 range.

LT1 A4 fbods typically dyno stock in the 240-250 rwhp range, while many M6s are 250-260 or even 260+.

Plenty of info is available on this site if you folks would care to search.

97 SS had 305 fwhp, 93 z28 had 275

well i see 275 all over for the LT1 so i went by that. both the LT1 and LS1 were underrated, but seeing as i had no hard evidence on that i went with advertised so if there were dyno sheets that were low than you can compare. ive seen a few A4 dyno sheets on here that were 230-240whp.

I'm not talking about the advertised number, but in reality.

If you look at the power stock lt1s put down on the dyno it's quite obvious that the actual fwhp is not 275.

I'm with you on the RW dyno numbers but people are useing the advertised FW number because no one has tacken there stock motor and put it on an engine dyno....you can calaulate from the RWHP but I dont think It'll be 100% accurate.
