i need to buy new gears for my 1994 Z28, the old ones became un-Aligned after the pinion bearing went.
im getting all the bearings replaced too. i know SLP sells the gears for $250 and the bearing kit for another $150, but i was wondering if there are any companies that are cheaper, with the same quality.
im 17 years old, and im having a shop do this, so i wanna keep the price for parts as low as possible, but dont want to have it breaking on me either.

Jeg's or Summit Racing carry gears for alot cheeper than that. Some are as low as $120...
May not be worth a **** for a higher HP car, but for a stock LT1, it shouldn't matter as long as its installed correctly.

Racing Gears are a lot softer than the regular stock gears, and will wear out faster with regular street use. The advantage to the Racing Gears comes when you bolt on some sticky tires. Being softer, they are also much less brittle and will absorb more shock without breaking.
