Solid Roller valve springs
Solid Roller valve springs I have been trying to decide on a cam for my upcoming motor. I have been researching "streetable" solid rollers. I know and understand the maintenance required for a solid roller.
A little info on the car...NOT a daily driver, makes some passes down the strip, and the new motor will be a 355/stock crank/forged I beams/forged pistons. I have a set of LE2 heads outfitted already with Comp 977 springs, 7/16th hardware and titanium retainers. Now I have read conflicting info on whether or not these springs are good for a solid roller(say in the 236/246...590/.590 range)
I guess my next question would be is it worth the expense and the hassle of going with a solid roller for this size of cam. It seems most running a SR are using much larger cams.

The springs will work with most lower duration solid roller's. They are designed more towards a HR cam or large duration solid flat tappet cams. Send me a PM if you would like for me to get you a SR cam that would match up. I can get most any brand name cam that you would like.

I used K-Motion springs for that exact duration and lift but do not have the part number to give you any specifics for spring load. I can get them tonight if you need. Is that a Lingenfelter spec camshaft.
