HELP ME PLEASE 94 Z28 problems!!!!! ok so here recently i bought a 1994 camaro, automatic, with a 170k miles. it sat for 3 years without running ever... i could get it to start, but it would shut off right away, when it did run its really rough idle and wont go over 2k rpm without dieing, and doesnt run very good while in gear either. i changed the plugs, with the correct gap spacing, i cleaned the egr and made sure it works, i put new o2 sensors on both sides, put new fluids in it, and replaced the fuel pump and made sure it had atleast 40 psi. also there was an aftermarket alarm put on this car and it was acting up, i took it off and i thought that was the problem but it wasnt, it does the same thing it did before, runs a few seconds and dies. still really rough idle... what else could it be? i read somewhere leaky injectors could cause this, but its a REALLY rough idle... sometimes backfiring and about to blow the intake elbow off... like its missing, i inspected the plug wires and they looked fine for what i could see. i just cant find out whats wrong, friday im going to take it to autozone or somthin to read the codes
Or rings rusted to the piston, not sealing.
Check engine light on?
Did you put a tablespoon or two of Marvel Mystery Oil or Seafoam in each cylinder before you fired it up after all that time sitting?
Plug wires are a good possibility, and cheaper by far than an opti.
Why did it sit for 3 years? The answer may be there.

also the owner before me, had taken off and put back on the intake elbow, and while doing so folded the bottom lip of the elbow and clamped the thing down not knowing so, and left it for a long time, causing there to be a big crease in the bottom of the elbow, it might be sucking some air, could that be my rough idle problem maybE?

That's such a common problem on all throttle bodys GM used that elbow crap for LOL My TPI, my LT1. I got the Aluminum elbow. And yes on a MAF car, that extra air would do it. That or the TPS
