Default header bolt question

I have hooker longtube's and have 2 lose heaser bolts they are the the 2nd and 3rd bolts from the back on passenger side. the issue is that they are the header bolts that have to be tightned with an allen wrench (not my choice to use these but they all that were available at install time) and I cannot get the allen wrench in these bolts due to bends in primaries, I was wondering I anyone had any tricks or advice for tightning these bolts with the allen head design? .....right now I can't even take them out and replace them with standard head bolts which is what I want to do....

My car had the same kind of header bolts when I bought it. When I swaped headers I junked them because they are a serious PITA, and just some of the 5/16ths headed bolts. Much easyer to work with.

Anyways here is what I did. Go out and buy a cheap allen wrench that fits the bolt. Cut of a half inch section of the allen wrench, and slide that into the bolt. You should now have about 3/8in of the allen wrench sticking out of the bolt. Then just get a regular wrench that will slip over the cut off allen wrench, and tighten the bolt down. Perferably you would want to do this with a 6point closed end of a wrench. If your having problems gitting the wrench around the allen head you can grind down the outer edge of the wrench to provide more clearence.
