Default How Do I Convert To Vented Opti???

I Have A Nonvented Opti On My Early 94 Z... Its Developing A Bad Miss As I Accelarate Hard. Guessing Its The Opti, And I Bet My Injectors Could Use Some Cleaning With 170k Miles... Im Sure Soon I Will Need To Replace The Opti, Prolly Goin With The Msd Billit Type, Any Suggestions On How To Convert To Vented? I Hear They Last Longer, And What Do I Need To Convert?

I agree with 93, get the opti cap and rotor from MSD, it converts 93-94 to a vented design.

We are talking about replacing the entire distributor with a MSD distributor billet aluminum assembly. It comes prepped for you to vent it with a couple of hoses so you can upgrade the 94 cars to vented without having to change the timing cover etc.

i was talking about changing the harness going to the opti. if i get an lt1 that has a non-vented opti my harness wont plug into it because its from a 95 car and has the flat style connector. if i were to just rebuild that stock opti that came with the engine i still have to worry about connecting it. can i use the correct opti harness for that older opti with a newer harness?
