clearancing a windage tray

im runnina a 6' rod with a stock stroke crank and i was wondering how are yall clearancing the windage tray for the rods? they are eagle hbeams btw. thanks.

my main caps are studded, and the windage tray wont go on the studs..... is the tray necessary, or am i fine without it? - jay

Maybe look into a canton six quart pan. I run one with a melling high volume oil pump. It does away with the stock windage tray and has its own system.

No amount of clearancing (on a LTX block) can accomodate a 6 foot rod.

A good windage tray equals horsepower. The Canton sugestion is a good one. Get a seven quart pan and only run 5 quarts and get more hosepower.

it's a good idea to have one, I wouldn't put an engine together without one. IMO
