Timing Chain set or timing chain?
Timing Chain set or timing chain? I was lookin at thunderracing and for like 75 there is a Gm LT4 Timing Chain. Is that what people say when they talkin about chaning the timing chain with a cam swap??
Depends on a few things. I tried to switch out only my chain but there was TONS of play in it due to gear wear. However, my car has 126k so if you are really low mileage you may be able to get away with only the chain.
crank gear and cam gear. A timing chain kit comes with both and the chain. Like the gm performance parts kit or the extreme duty kit. I would just get a whole kit to be on the safe side. unless your gears are in perfect condition.
