cold heater

my car blow cold air when i put it on the heater. in the summer the a/c works fine but in the winter i put the heater and it blows just cold like if the a/c was on. do you have a clue to what this could be?

Clogged Heater core, get if flushed or replaced. I am assuming your temo guage is reading 160 or more.

yeah my guage is reading correctly. i have the green anti-freeze in it. it is a 94Z.

Heater Core could have crap all over it, take it apart, and clean it off.

I just fixed mine, had the same problem. The heater hoses were clogged, blew them out and it works like a charm now.

i have the same problem, replaced the heater core and it got a little better. Old one was so clogged i couldnt even blow air thru it with my mouth.
Im sure that when i flush or replace my heater hose the heat will get hot.

question: doesnt one of the heater hoses have a restrictor in it. If so is it necessary to have? Im sure that is where my hoses are clogged is at the restrictor as it will catch any debris flowing around. Also how is it possible to get enough solids in a coolant system to restric flow??
