Default ARP Eagle Rod Bolt TQ Specs..

I just put my 355 shortblock together tonight, but i cant find my sheet that tells me the torque specs. They are eagle 5.7" stock replacement with ARP wavelock bolts. Anyone know the proper torque specs? Also the methond on doing that. TQ them, then lossen them, then TQ tham again or something? Thanks

What size is the socket for them? Mine were 7/16, and they were 65ft/lbs. You have to tighten them to spec, and loosen them 4 times, tightening them on the last and leaving them alone.
There should be a little sheet with them in there..

That's if they are a 7/16 socket. If they are 3/8, then it's 45ft/lbs.

The 7/16" are what comes on their H-beam rods. Whatever you have make sure you use the ARP lube on the rod bolt threads, the friction with regular oil or dry would affect the torque reading. It's best to use the stretch gauge method.

Agreed check the stretch not the torque.

I don't see why it would though. Could be factory flaw.
