Cam help...
The hot cam isn't a bad route to go -- you definately can't beat the bang for the buck as far as it is concerned. The results aren't world shattering, but they are definately solid. It is extremely streetable.
My car went from a 13.6 to a 12.7 with the addition of the LT4 Hot Cam Kit and a 3000 stall converter.
With the addition of a 100 shot I dropped the car into the 11s -- its a lot of fun. The cam sounds a lot meaner than what it really is, so you'll definately turn some heads.
Here is a vid of mine with a 3000rpm rev.'94 Z28 with Hot Cam
My buddy's 97 SS ran this cam and had excellent results with it. We live at higher elevation so the numbers may not sound that great to you, but consider 5300 ft actual elevation(usually between 7500 ft to as high as 9900 ft corrected). On motor he ran a 13.85 and 12.00 on a 150 shot. He spanked a pesky local Ford Lightening that had alot of up grades done to the truck: smaller blower pulley, better heads, converter, and 200 shot of N2O.
