Default big problem please help

ok i was goin to an interview this morning and i went to start my car and i put the key in and it wouldnt turn, so i wiggled the wheel and it still wouldnt turn. i ended up forcing it and it broke free. now every time i start it it starts and stalls like three times and when it stays running it runs on 6 or 7 cylinders for about 30 seconds to a minute and then it instantly runs fine.

this happens everytime i turn it off and re start it. is it just my ignition switch?

Well if your having a issue with turning the key you should get the ignition replace, maybe the switch is very close to not letting it run properly. Although I would find that hard to beleive, I think it would be either the car runs fine or not at all,

Let me ask you this, how did the car run before the issue, I am assuming 100% tip top??

Exclamation

it always started first try and ran on all cylinders. now it starts and stalls as if the spark cuts out. then it starts on 6 or 7 for a bit then runs fine

that couldnt be the opti could it?

If it is the ignition switch, I really don't know if there is a way to test them and they're a bitch to change (at least mine was). I did mine w/out take the steering shaft out. It could also be the opti. It could have been a coincidental type thing.

Sounds like the lock & tumbler is the problem and your VATS is messing with you. A friend of mine's 95 Camaro had the same type of problem and a new key & tumbler was his winning solution.
