At what point are stepped headers necessary?

Default At what point are stepped headers necessary?

I am about to buy some kooks next month for my planned 383 LE3. At what point is a stepped header necessary? I will be driving this car on the street some.

I would if i were you. I was told if you are running a 383 or bigger with big heads and cam they are the way to go.

If you're gonna spend the cash on Kook's anyway, I say go ahead. If you're not gonna spend the cash, I would personally just pick up some std 1 3/4 headers. But like I said, if you're gonna shell out the dough, then I would go all out.
