LT1 into a ZR2

LT1 into a ZR2
Since how I have a perfectly good LT1 kickin around I was toying with the idea of swaping in my spare LT1 in place my ZR2's 4.3L. I know pretty much the basic things as far as an engine swap like that would take, but I have never swaped one in before. I have the motor, computer(from the 96), the electric fans, basically everything worth keeping from the car. What else would I need? Has anyone swaped a LT1 into a 4x4 sonoma/s-10 before or know anything about it that might help?

One of my buddies has a small block in his older S-10. Thing is nice, can't hook up for **** though. If you have all those parts, you'll need motor mounts, crossmember, driveshaft, etc

The SpikeTV show Trucks recently swapped an SBC into an S-10 pickup. IIRC they built up a rebuilt 350 long block into an LO5 motor using the V6's TBI, computer (aftermarket chip was needed), etc. Some of the things that made the swap easy was being able to use the original V6 accessories (including the motor mounts, I think) on the V8. The LT1 would be a lot more involved, but don't let me throw a wet blanket on your dreams. www.powerblocktv.com might lead you to some details.

Would all the accesories from the V-6 work or would they all have to be used from the with an LT1? I believe the motor mounts would work as well. I think I wouldn't be able to use the wiring harness from the truck and I accidently destroyed they camaro's harness so I probably would need one of those. The A4 in my truck is a 4l60E but it the bellhousing looks different, I believe that should still work just fine with the LT1.
The 4.3L has a lot of pep for a v-6 but its always nice to has more! And since how I just happen to have a LT1 just kicking around, I figure why not and research it out and see what it might take. The only downfall to the project would be the 4.3L is still practically brand new with only 43k, and the LT1 has 136k
