Default lope

how can you tell what cam, if any, you have if you have a slight lope in your exhaust? no vacuum leaks or missing. i think i have a little cam that came with the car from one of the owners. my heads look brand new under the valve covers, and my headgaskets are clean and new looking.

Post a vid maybe someone can identify whether you have one or not. Otherwise the only way to check would be to pull it out and check the numbers that they grind into the end of the cam itself.

you cant really tell unless you post a video or something. hard to tell by the untrained ear. could be a off the selfer or a custom grind.

yea, im waiting for the locals to get an group up for a dyno session. its pumping out more power and it pulls somewhat agressive for a stock LT1 with 148k on it.. i think it was molested in its lifetime.

it wont be exact, but you could pull the valve cover and set up a dial indicator on a rocker. measure the lift and watch your balancer to get and idea of duration. keeping in mind the crank spins twice as fast as the cam.
