I was thinking of running a melling high performance oil pump for my build just the 10% increased volume 1 is it worth it or is the stock 1 good enough for a H&C LT1

High volume pumps of stock like design are more prone to cavitation. I used to be among the camp that thought they drained the pan faster than oil could drain back down but I kept reading and found out about the cavitation.
Personally I believe the stock pump a very good piece and people too quick to want to "upgrade" it.
That said when I do a build it will get a different design pump like the Titan Gerotor pump.

stock is fine for h/c only, once you get into stroking, yada yada, it's a good idea to do a hp/hv pump with a good pan design to prevent cavitation, scavenging, etc etc
