Need answer about a cam. I have been emailing summit racing about a new cam for my 94z. The cam they told me to go with is below. Could some one give me some info on if this is a good cam are not
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218 int./224 exh
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.495 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.503 in
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.495 int./0.503 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 112
And they also said it would work well with my stock heads.

Thats a good cam and there nothing wrong with it. Even though you have stock heads I would still go bigger depending on what your goals are. Hell, look at people running the GM 847 and its way bigger than the cam they selected and it makes good power.

i'd go bigger my self . that is a small cam go with a lt4 or bigger. if u want to gain power and keep drivabilty stay close to an lt4.but if u want a street strip car go with a bigger camill look around for u.u might also want to port your heads and have bigger valves put in them.you'll gain about 35-45 cfm about 10 horsepower with the stock cam.but with a custom grind or a bigger cam you could see upwards of 400 + rwhp if u have headers injectors tb and a tune and it would still be streetable
I am sporting the LT4 Hot Cam, and the Cam he posted up there is bigger than the Hot Cam by a hair. I like mine to drive on the street and for the lope, it does have a good sound. I am turning down some good numbers, but there are some nice big Cams out there.
