Default has anyone had this problem?

help ive got a98 suburban some times it starts then dies it will start back up and die again some time it even resets the clock looks like the ground is good any ideas?

If it resets the clock, system voltage is likely dropping too far. The ground "LOOKS" good? Check the voltage drop on your battery cables as well as battery voltage while cranking. You can't tell a ground is good by looking at it. Don't bother trying to test it with an ohm meter either. Look for less than 1/2 volt drop per cable max while cranking the starter.
