Default TH350 ?..... on 383 lt1

Does any one have LT1 383,TH350 with 373 gears as daily driver?
Just did TH350 swap only thing I need is passing gear cable off 93 camaro/ta.
Back to my question just need to know how its on expressway as well for town .

Will be using 28" tire on 15 inch rim.

I had 3.42's, but like my current 3.00's much better.

how would the smaller gears like 3.00's compare to the 3.73's for speed.. cause i know thats the whole reason you would build the 383. I am at the same point with my car now (383 w th350 and 3.73s) but i dunno ....

Works pretty good for me. I pull 146 mph in the quarter, so the 3.00's and 26" tires put me right at a perfect 6200 rpm in the traps.

If you have the horsepower the high gears (2.73 3.00 etc) work great.
If you only have 350 horse you won't like em.
I have 2.73s in mine right now and cruising on the hiway is great but I will putting 3.73s back in with the new rear coming.

thats what i was thinking i know mike has a serious hp car so his opinion with that turbo camaro wouldnt really apply

lol just messin with you mike, but seriously.. your car is fast. you need to stop. and just trade with me.

Yeah LT1383's car has lots of power, from what i remember last time i rode shotgun . and that was before the cam swap. anyways, try the 3.73's and see how well they work. IMO id stay with the 3.73's cuz that cam and stall combo your running will leave you in the meat of your power band at the traps.

BTW try posting in the transmission section of the board and see if someone can get you part #'s for the kickdown cable for the TH350. I've seen a lot of guys ask questions about TH350/400 swaps, and more than likely someone will help you out.
