actual compression help!
I am putting an LT1 together as a temporary motor until I finish my project motor because I want to drive the car LOL. Anyways here is a list of parts that is being put in that will help get the answer to my questions.
Eagle street/strip cast crank rotating assembly with 3.480 stroke and -5cc/.020 over pistons. With the 58cc stock head it will be 10.5:1 CR according to their info.
GMPP LT4 hotcam kit (just because it will add a little to the stock motor)
Mr. Gasket PN 5716 head gaskets .026 thickness (to raise the compression)
The heads will be untouched, other than the lt4 hotcam kit upgrades, so it should stay right around 10.8-11.0 am i correct?
but if I plug it into the calculators on the net it gives me a 11.587 on one and 11.524 on the other but note this is static compression not dyanamic so what would dynamic be and actual compression?
Please let me know. I am wanting to get this together so I can drive the car.
You guys have been a lot of help on my ohter questions I have asked with my project motor so I know this one won't be to difficult.
