Searched the Newbie FAQ, could use some quick help... I'm trying to get together an LT1 and T56 to swap into my RX-7. It seems tough to find them together, and when I do find them together, it seems a lot more expensive than if I were to find them separately.
To be able to swap the motor into the 7, I need the harness and the ECU, as well as all the ancillary stuff, you know, PS, A/C, etc.
Therefore, my question isn't so much engine related as it is ECU related: Can I buy an LT1/ECU/harness from an automatic and use it with a separately purchased T-56? Are the ECUs different?
