Default Longtube headers, good or bad sound?

I just recently installed some longtube pacesetter headers and their ypipe on my car, I was just wondering if anyone knows about how much power I will see without tuning, and how much after I tune it. Also before the headers I had a dynomax bullet dumped before the axle and it sounded nice, very throaty and deep. Awsome at wot, now with the headers it makes this weird humming noise. It is alot louder and deeper but it doesnt seem to sound as throaty when i cruise only when I step on the gas. Does anyone have any alternatives as to what other exhaust I could purchase that would go well with the long tubes and ypipe?

I have Pacesetter LT's, Y-pipe, and a Bullet dumped infront of the Axle, and I don't have a humming sound..I hear the Engine more than anything.

I know its not the best flowing/looking set-up, but I really like how the flowmaster sounds with my LT's and no cat. I'd really suggest magnaflow though...thats what I'm going with in the early spring. Goodluck As for horsepower... w/o a tune you could see as much as a 20+ rwhp increase...w/ a tune around 25-30 rwhp is not uncommon.

Well I have the old flowmaster that I took off when I dumped the bullet, and I have no intentions on having it installed back on. Ive been thinking about the gmmg and even going with true duals.

which magnaflow muffler? the bigger one that goes in the factory location w/ dual tips? or one of their "race" round chambers (single exit)?

Go with a gmmg catback and you will have throaty for sure. Also like someone said you can probably expect 20-30 hp increase with a tune

LT's in general add some good guts to these Cars. The factory Exhaust is restrictive as hell. It's pretty much a 350 crammed in a Cavalier, so there are going to be some tight spots..

I was talking about their entire cat-back system seen HERE. It's very expensive on their site, but if you search some of our sponsers webpages it can be bought for right around $389. A Magnaflow cat-back is one of the best deals considering it sounds really nice, and is constructed of stainless steel. If you can afford to spend a little more (i.e. ~$800 total) I would highly recommend the GMMG cat-back...

Right Click, Save as,

My old LT1 car with a 383/hotcam combo, auto, Jet Hot LT's, Y pipe (cat less), to a Corsa.

I liked it so much when I parted the car I kept the corsa for the LS1.
