Default Service engine soon...

On my 94 Z-28 I have noticed that the service engine soon light comes on when the cooling fan starts. When I start the car and when its cold it doesnt, it seems to do it only when the fan starts. Anyone know why this is happening and if its a problem that I need to fix?

Some SES codes cause the fans to kick on as a protection measure.

Get it scanned, if it kicked a light it saved the code.

But its not really a problem then? My car runs real strong and doesnt seem to run different when the service engine soon light comes on. But it does get annoying seeing it and people thinking there is something wrong with my car.

It might not be major, but it's a problem. The only way to find out is get it scanned.
