exhaust coatings
exhaust coatings Is there any spray on coatings that will stay on headers that I can buy from an autoparts store or summit or eastwood ect.Has anyone seen a high-temp spray that wont burn off.I have found a very cheap set of longtubes but they are the uncoated ones.I need something that will not burn off.What does it cost to take these to a local powder coater for a good coating?Has anyone ever done this before and what was the results?Thanks for any help.

I used a high heat flat black paint from orielly's. Last 8 months until the motor caught fire. After repainting the fender wells and rewiring, I repainted one header on account of some melted wires. Can't remmember exactly what it was, but it was not the stuff with the barbeque pit pictured on the front. No color, no shine, but it won't rub off on your hand like most of the other flat black 1000 plus degree paints and atleast the headers were a single solid color.
