Need alittle more information on this cam
Need alittle more information on this cam I'm currently running a sts turbo system on my 94 z28. I basically still have a stock lt1 engine with a lt4 hotcam. I plan to do a cam change this spring. Specs are 224/230 .581/.588 115. My hot cam specs are 218/228 .525/.525. My question is will this custom cam be too much cam for my stock lt1 aluminum heads?? Also will it sound alittle more or allot more aggressive then my hot cam as far as the lopey idle which I really want. Any help would be great.
Sounds like a really good cam if those specs are with 1.6's. The 115 LSA will sound almost stock, because your hotcam has an LSA of 112 and thats why it lopes really hard. If I remember correctly, the OB1 cars had an LSA of 116 and the OBD2 cars had an LSA of 117 on the stock cams.
You are running a turbo tho, so I think you should get a custom grind cam designed for your turbo. If you were N/A with stock heads, and didn't mind the lack of lope, I would jump all over that cam.
