I wouldn't suggest going with the monoblade, I was going to but when I asked my tuner he said it's not worth all of the bullshit idle problems for maybe a 1hp gain so I just went AS&M twin 58mm

If Im not over 300 horses yet, what could I get instead of a throttle body that would cost around the same and get me closer to 300 or more horses?

**** aftermarket Throttle Bodies's. They are a rip off.
You need to readjust the linkage, some have technical issues, and they are WAY overpriced. Even $200 is too much.
If you payed more than that, I dont care if its a nice shiny holley or AS&M, you got jacked.
Get your stocker ported for $100, or whatever your local shop charges, and save your self alot of time and money.

Well, the Hotcam Kit is $500, the cam and 1.6RR's should aid in 20-30hp.
GMPP too, so its reliable too.

If you have to spend that money now, either get some 4.11 gears or get some GOOD springs and roller rockers. I wouldn't get the GMPP stuff.

Can't stock throttle bodies only be ported out to 52mm though? If that's the case then once you reach a certain level around 450+rwhp I'm guessing even a ported stocker will be a restriction. Yes they are over priced and some have issues so go with the ones that don't have problems.
