CC503 cam on 112LSA....Emissions
224/230 @ .050 and .503/.510 lift on 112LSA with 1.5 ratio rockers
I've searched and read numerous good things about the CC503 and stock motors making some good numbers. I'm wondering if this cam will pass a smog test, i know the 112LSA is pushing it. I know that a 220/220 @ .050 with .500/.500 lift on 110LSA in a SBF will pass smog with flying colors, even without a tune. So the extra cubes of the LT1 with that extra duration and 112LSA should make the CC503 more friendly towards emissions...... Along with the cc503, i'll install the correct springs, 1.6 RRs, hardened pushrods and new oem lifters (learned my lesson on re-using old ones) Any opinions...
The car has edelbrock shorties (for now) SW Y pipe with randomtech cats (or offroad pipes if i want) out to a custom one-off GMMG based catback, all free flowing and all stainless steel. K&N CAI, new GM opti, and Taylor race wires is all i can see done to the motor. Hurst short throw and CAGS eliminator.
If you guys think the cam is too "iffy" on emissions, suggest a similar cam that will pass and retain about the same idle and powerband.
