Intake manifold questions I was reading the cam article by David Vizzard and saw what the single plane intake manifold design looked like. What other types are there? Dual plane, etc? Post pics of the insides of the different tyes if you have them. btw what type is the LT4 intake?

The LT4 Intake is pretty much the same as the LT1. The Intake ports are designed a little different, and the price tag is in the $600+ area.

GIZMO has posted this picture over and over in an effort to help correct all the misinformation out there.
If you machine the LT4 intake to fit LT1 head you just destroyed every "benifit" it had because the only benifit is the extra material above the port to seal to the taller LT4 head ports. TALLER, NOT raised as is so often said.

dual plane manifold means that each bank has its own individual runner system and the inlets differ, while the single plane both banks run on the same inlet and runner system.
So logically speaking the LT1-LT4 manifolds are single plane. If they were dual plane there would be a seperating wall splitting the manifold in two.
