Unhappy Double check and check again..
the oil pump gear. This happened to me not to long ago and did a little damage.

What keeps chewing it up? Mine had a little shiny wear, but nothing like that. What are you saying needs to be checked?

that one had 166,000 miles and the shaft has wear. So machined up a complete new one and replaced the gear.

Check your cam gear if it's a billet core with a billet gear it'll happen again.
