Hey guys,

I am swapping my stock intake and airbox for a Lingenfelter CAI. As I was removing all the stock pieces from the fender well, etc, I noticed on one of the air intake ducts, there are two large connections to a plastic box....I am trying to figure out what the heck is it? Each has four prongs. I can take a pic if I have confused you all.. Question is do I need it and what is its purpose...I have looked online but to no avail.

I think I know what your talking about. But a pic would be helpful. Is it the plastic box thats coming from the front of the bumper? I was trying to get rid of it but it seems to be stuck in there by the way it's designed. Then I reaized there was an electrical connection attached to it, so I left it alone. This it?

Couldn't tell ya, my car didn't have that in it at all. Could be something for OBDII..
