Default shaft mounted RRs

In regards to shaft mount RRs. Are these mainly for solid roller setups, or do they get used w/ hydrolic set ups w/ cams similar is size to some of the LE2 cams? Why are they some much more expensive and whats the positives and negatives of using or not using them?

Because they are much more stable at high RPM they are required with large SR cams. They can be used with HR cams, but are not required, since these cams wont spin too high. I think shaft mount studs requires the use of tall perimeter mount valve cover.

Yeah they are just good things to have to stabalize your valvetrain. I had some rocker stud girdles on my hydraulic setup as well and spinning upwards to 6500 rpm with it.
