coil packs?

coil packs? Is there a way to "get rid" of the opti. I searched and din't really find what i was looking for. What is needed and what isnt needed in order to do this. I know its possible, i've seen it done. I figure since my car is 109K on the stock opti.. if its possible just spend that money and labor on preventing it from happening again.

I've just today completed a LTCC installation. The LTCC kit is from http://www.bailey-eng.com/LTCC.html You get the kit from him and add eight LS1 coils. Mount them and get some custom wires and all works great. The Opti dist is still used for signal but no coil voltage goes through it. The system eliminates the stock coil and igniton module.
Mine runs great, looks good and I'll never burn wires again. Def worth the cost and effort to me.
There is some effort in setting up the coil mounts, you have to fab everything yourself.
