Tail Light Mod
Tail Light Mod I managed to put in some switches today to completely kill all lights in the back of the car (Rear Tail Lights, Marker Lights, Center Spoiler Light) when the Head Lights are on. Just a little extra help to get away if I want to get out without being seen.

I would like to see this. I would only care about the brake lights though. If it came down to it, I would just turn off all my lights cause it's still easy to see you with headlights (from behind). But your idea is fine.
A mustang drove by me the other day without his lights on when it was still a little light out, but other people had their lights on. I could barely see him in my rearview. I'm just saying it's pretty good without headlights if you don't want to be seen.

I had a buddy back in high school that bought a 3rd gen Z28 and found a little switch under his dash. We couldn't figure out what it did but through tinkering, left it in the wrong position I guess and he got pulled over one night. He couldn't figure out what did it but, his dad knew and figured it out quick. hehe...

If you pull the Carpet up near the Drivers Seat and find the big bunch of wires there(like 12 of them), get them all out and seperate them. The ones that you need to put switches on is the Brown one, Blue/Green one, and both of the Yellow ones. They are like 18ga wires. Don't get the Yellow ones mixed up, and you are money.

A friend of mine did this with like 5-6 relays, BUT he didn't want to add any more switches too his car.
SO when you turn up his dimmer switch all the way, for his interrior lights to come on, it kills the rear lights. No the interior lights dont come on anymore. He had to use the relays to keep the cluster and the headlights on. Pretty trick when we go street race.

I might have to do this... there are two switches near my hatch release. one was for neons the previous guy had and idk what the other ones are for but I should put them to use
Hmm, we always just did the brake light cutoff years ago. If being chased, you could slow down to take a turn and the person behind you would be going to fast to follow.

I've actually seen this "idea" taken a step further. A few years ago on Ebay, I came across a "kit" that installed a small set of hinges on the bottom side of the license plate indentation, and a latch mechanism on the top. It used a license plate frame to hide the hardware. The latch was rigged to a switch, (sort've like a trunk popper), that when pushed caused the license plate to sort've fold out so that the face of it would be facing towards the ground so "certain people" wouldn't be able to read it in cases of extreme emergency...
