Default msd 6al.... why?

I did a serch but really didnt come up with anything. what is the perpose of a msd 6 al. i know that it make the plug sparks more than once on each fire is there anything other than that, and does it have any ill effect on the opti spark? thanks for all the help

it makes for a more effecient burn on the power stroke, supposedly brings up your engines effienciency but I dont know any numbers. I doubt it would adversly affect the opti, plus MSD makes a harness so its a direct plug into the coil. its like 30 bucks.

I think the 6al has soft touch Rev Control too, so thats another cool trick

I've heard people say that MSDs will burn up the contacts in the opti, not sure if this is true or not.

sure someone somewhere had a bad experience and it "seems" the 6AL was the culprit, but I doubt it. It works very good, highly recommend it, worth every penny, as stated the rev pills make it nice, plug n play timing retard if yo run nitrous, plug n play tach, etc. Primarily the hotter, cleaner spark is the best benefit.

i got a 6al box, retard box and a window switch. All MSD products. They were real easy to hook up with each other.
