Default One of those guys

Hi folks, I am new here and pretty much new to V8s well not new but really have not been messed with them since 95. I have been stationed in Japan for a long time so 4 banger boosted beast were what I played with(when in rome or Japan thing).

I recently bought a 95 Z28 here in North Carolina and looking at its completely bone stock self is driving me insane. I want to put some wrench time into this thing and start changing out the old stock parts with some go fast goodies.

I was also wondering are there some general maintenance things that should be done as well since the car has 106k on the odo?

I have one issue however, I read the newb FAQ but its really generalizing and does not steer me in the right direction for what I should be doing except making it perfectly clear that I should free up the air in and out issue.

With that being said, do you guys generally agree on what parts should be used?

I would like to eventually make this thing push low 11s and if I get the ***** maybe 10s.

Here is what I thought I would start with, please feel free to add take away or just comment overall on what I should do and what brands you all feel work well and are not totally a waste of cash.

Intake
Exhaust
Headers
MAF Ends
Fuel pump
ECU (whats available and whats it costing)
Cams
MSD Box
Maybe a water injection kit??

Well help a newb out I do not want this thing to run around like a daily commuter with small ***** forever!!!

Default Cams?

Oh yeah and the LT1 is a pushrod engine not an OHC engine so it will take only one cam!! Just messin. I think you are headed in the right direction with the mods listed in your post. Do forget about the maf ends and water injection not needed for what you want. But if you're going to run low 11's or high 10's you will need a good set of cylinder heads. If you read up their is a guy that does heads and cam packages named Lloyd Elliot and his packages make some pretty impressive numbers. If that doesn't work spray it!

Bwuhahahaha

Thank you again, I am still reading and trying to soak up all this information.

The main reason I went with this car was the 95 or older law in North Carolina. I love Camaros and I love the safety inspection only type cars.
