Default Need some help with LT4

I just bought a 93 firebird formula with the lt4 kit on it. The car is not tuned and i want to know the best programmer for the lt4 kit. It has lt4 heads, cam, and intake. The car has a miss, and is running rich. I am gonna change the plugs and wires, but i want to get the car tuned incase it has aftermarket injectors or lt4 injectors.

Find you someone local with LT1 Edit, or you can send the Computer off.

That combo is pretty well known. Just about any mail order place should be able to hook you up. Madz28.com com is a good one, along with PCMforless.com

PCMforless will get you ballpark, but find a local dyno tuner and get it done right! Mail order tunes are a gamble! When you do something as significant as change heads on the car, IMO it is definitely reason for a dyno tune. You'll have the added benefit of knowing what kind of power your car is putting down. BTW for more advice on 93 cars, check out Speed Density.org All 93 Fbodies.

thanx for the help. What happens when the opti spark goes bad? How does the car act? What will the hypertech programmer do vs. getting the psm feflashed? How would i know if the cars pcm has been reflashed already?? cause the engine light comes on but rarely. and the car runs but like i said has a miss. you can clearly hear the camshaft. Will the car run with a stock tune?
