Car Just Dieing?

Well I got the car back from my mechanic today - needless to say i got a old problem back its dieing out again like it was when the GM opti failed but this a MSD Opti with about 150 miles... the car and everything just shuts off, starts back up fine to im thinking electrical but we took off th starter, alt battery and all those cables are tight... what to check guys? maybe a ground somewhere i dont know about??

Maybe the throttle blades need to be cleaned on the back side. That sometimes stalls a car if it's full of carbon. But it could be anything, thats just one suggestion.
BTW, what did the mechanic do??

well it had an oil fire because passenger side valve cover cleaned starter, alt, header and such.. now the header or some part of the exhaust is lose i can feel it on the floor board or hitting the k-member so ill have to look at that.. its running top except one of my lazy lifters that takes a few mins to pump up from start up im pretty happy atm btw drove it like 60 miles hasnt cut out again but its there the problem just doesnt go away..
