head and stall question
After doing just a mild cam before stall I have to say that is a mistake, and the cam I did was smaller than the HOT cam which is quite a bit smaller than the 306.
The reasons for doing things come into play. If the motor is out now and you have only enough money to do cam or staoll then go ahead and do the cam now and stall later. If you are afraid of stall then you need to do more research. Modern QUALITY converters can offer great drivability. Just a few years ago I was afraid of stall, now in warmer months I daily drive a 3400 stalled Caprice on rural roads very little highway, even do some light towing with it.
If you are anywhere near Green Bay let me know, my car will be back on the road from winter hibernation possibly as soon as this afternoon.
I had a 2800 stall before this and at least one gearhead passenger in the car commented how I should do a stall as we puttered through town. Once we got to the edge of town I showed him it was stalled.

Actually back when I had the 2800 stall it was my only car and saw 20k+ a year and was mildly cammed ZZ4 cam 208/221.

I think the 260xfi cam would be a good cam. that cam would be good with a 2800 stall duration@50 is 210-218, lift is 560in & 550ex on a 113 lobe
