good to hear, its really not hard just time consuming your first time.

You'll have to take the alt. off and the ps pump and it makes it much easier. Get the car up real high on the passenger side and you may have to loosen the passenger motor mount. I'd also recommend some ARP header bolts, the head is smaller and makes tightening the headers down much easier than the bolts that come with the headers.

Got em done. Had to remove the starter, oilfilter, alternator, dipstick, and jack out the drivers side of the motor to get them in. I am happy with how it sounds and performs.

I would rather do the work myself even if I didn't have experience. I wouldn't want somebody else doing the job and screwing something up or not doing it right. The best tool you can have to do the job is LS1TECH. There is always someone on here with good advice who has been in your shoes before. Just remember, you always get more respect from other f-body owners when you have done the work yourself!

just make sure to remove the starter, steering elbow, temp sensor, plugs, and move the A/C compressor forward if ya can. if you do all that then the install will be SUPER easy. took me 30 minutes to install on an engine rebuild

I have doen them myself. It takes a long time and a lot pf patience. However, make sure your gaskets are correct for your headers. I saw in you signature that you have pacesetter headers, if so I had problems and still do with gaskets working for them. The problem is that the ports on the headers are too big for the gaskets and heads. To fix this I ported the gaskets and it worked on one side really well, and the other side is starting to leak again. Mine are mid-lengths and they are easier to install than long tubes. I hope all goes well.

For re-tightening the header bolts I would recommend going to Sears and picking up a craftsman 7/16 3/8 combo wrench. They make one that is really skinny and sort of long, its great to have around, both ends are closed. Fits in the tight spaces of my damned BBK shorties nicely.

I would do it yourself if you have the time. That way you know it gets done right.

Just lift the car up as high as you can get it remove the two bolts that hold in the steering shaft remove it. When you do the passanger header take the pass. side motor mount bolt out and tilt the motor up it will take alot of the headache out of the install. Also you will want to remove the alternator to make the pass. side easier to get to.
