Default stock hub on 3.75 crank

can i use the stock hub on my 3.75 eagle crank?... i noticed that on the crank it has a "half moon" groove on the snout of the crank.... and my hub does not have anything that would lock into that? Also does anyone know the thread size and length of bolt i need for the crank and hub?

The "half moon" your talking about is for a crank key to installed. Even the stock crank has this, but a key is not installed from the factory. Not sure on size of the stock bolt, but its def fine thread.

None of the stock hubs use a key. Put #1 at TDC and install the hub with the arrow pointing 12 o'clock.

IMO..if you are putting together a new engine I would buy a keyed hub from Thunder Racing and put a key in the crank..My thought is a used hub with out the keyway may not hold like it should....MM

The only problem with that is they are backordered and no one knows when they will have any. I called last week and they have been backordered from November and will not know when they'll have a shipment come in.
