i have a 1995 pontiac firebird formula 350lt1 6speed 114k miles HERES THE PROBLEM: i had the air pump replaced under recall,changed plugs and oil it started up and ran fine but when i went to take it a ride it shut off and wouldnt start back up i checked to make sure nothing was broke or unplugged or broken and there was none it is getting fuel it also has very very weak spark im thinking its the dog gone optispark but what do you think it is please help

 

OPTI, I don't know really. It just seems like 80% of the time its the opti with these cars.

 

Before throwing money at the opti, it possibly could not even be the problem, check the coil and icm, those two can go out. Check the car for codes, if the opti dies it will trigger a DTC, so scan the computer for codes. Hate to see people waste time and money on the opti when it was just a bad coil.
