Default The build is underway...

I went into the Bank today and got approved for a little $3,000 personal loan, so I have some play money now. I am picking up my Engine here this weekend, looking around for a deal on the Heads, and fininding what ever else I need. I haven't even got payed yet either..

The build is officially on..

Maybe it's just me but I'd be ashamed to admit that I took out a 3k loan to mod my car.

Why is that.. I got a $3k buffer as far as I am concerned, ontop of my normal paychecks that are pretty nice themselves.
Why be ashamed to admit that I walked in for a Loan and was approved for it in 10 minutes.. that's good credit also.
Like mentioned, don't be hatin..

$3k? that's it?

**** dude, the heads i want would eat almost all of that after shipping charges.

i went to the bank(s) here in town to see who has the best rates, etc for a loan - planned on borrowing 8k to build a nice malibu/lq4 combo - then other priorities made themselves known. bottom line - $3k won't build much of anything.

i justified the loan because i currently have NO debt and a company provided vehicle that is completely free (even gas) for me to use when and as i wish. so basically i stash a grand a month and blow the other 2 i bring home. i'm such a douche.

I got a deal on L92 Heads...$400/pair for bare Heads, then $125 for the Valves. All I need are springs after all that.

for me it was either be very very patient and try to finish the car over years, or get a loan and get it done asap so you can enjoy it, either way your paying for it. good call merv

i suppose if u don't have other debt and have a reserve for emergencies, 3k isn't really all that irrisponsible. and if ur car is ur passion, like mine is to me, go for it. if u were a client of mine, i wouldn't have recommended it though. (financial advisor, W&R) oh well, have fun!!!
