Hope that fits for you... I used Madman's relocation bracket without any other accessories. It doesnt stick out from the motor nearly as far, and there's not much room between it and the framerail.

Ive seen one other setup similar to yours, and the stock bracket needed to be cut out to allow the altenator to sit closer to the block. The upper mounting hole you used needed to be cut off, and they bolted a brace to the lower PS pump bolt (under the pulley)

In short, I highly doubt that setup will clear the framerail. Almost positive it will not.

yeah i was gonna say the same thing... typically clearance from the framerail to the small a/c pulley that you have on the top when in normal position is typically like 3-4 inches..... that thing is sticking way further out than that....

Nice idea though.... with madmans setup you don't need to lose the PS do you????? if not i'd just do that...

I'm runin the same setup as you Fire.. works great....

Yep, with Madmans kit you loose everything but the altenator, and in my case... The blower

Ive seen that setup before and the bottom bolt is in the correct spot, but the top bolt needs to be swung in towards the timing cover alot more. Basically by cutting the stock bracket to get more clearance. Rock the altenator over and use a basically flat piece of home-made bracket to hang it from the PS pumps lower bolt.

Well hell I guess that's what I get for fabbing outside of the car. Anybody know how far into the acc bracket you have to cut to move the alt inboard?

I'll see if I can find the pic. Basically you want to get the alt 'Almost' touching the block. As close as you can get without having it make contact.

The bottom mounting location you used is fine. Cut the bracket to rock the top towards the motor untill it almost touches the block and then measure & fab your bracket. The pic Im trying to find for you uses just a flat piece of aluminum to hold the top of the altenator in place.

Good thing you posted this, we've probably saved you a huge headache at install time

That came out better for sure... Is that the engine bay of your Falcon? Very clean!!!
If you were planning to keep all accessories, looks like you could have gone with the Corvette Accy brackets in that engine bay.

My step-grandfather had a 63 1/2 Falcon Futura vert. I loved that car, but it burnt up in an aiplane hangar alongside his Cessna Skymaster last year

Wish I knew. Bought the shortblock complete and assembled with it on there from a guy up in Chicago lol. I'll get some more pics once I get this thing in the car and cut up the bracket and fix this.
