Default 96 Motor in a 94 Z28?

I have a 94 camaro z28 M6. The motor blew in it and i want to replace it with a 96 motor i found for 300 with 60k miles. Will this work? Will the 94 Opti fit on the 96? Wiring harnesses the same?
