why is my car so slow?

does this happen when engine is cold? and how long have you notice this happening? With the long tube headers your O2 might not be getting to operating tempture, causing you to have a lean condition.

well the SES light that came on about the lean condition was when i was driving down the highway.. the car had definately gotten to operating temp a long time before it happened. I noticed my car had been driving kinda slow for a while. first i beat my friend with the intake and exhaust, then i just barely edged him out by .1 a few months later, and last night i lost to him
