Default Lt1 timing chain

I just put a new timing chain set on but what is the tolerance on the chain slack. I have it dot to dot now and there is slight slack equaled on both sides around 1/16th of an inch

Did you replace the timing gears or just the chain?

Most folks complain about the LT1 sets being "sloppy", almost nobody has a true problem with it though.

Has your block been Align bored? Sometimes when they Alignbore they cut into the block side a bit and you can have some slop. They make special timing sets for those occasions. But, based on that measurement (1/16") I think you're fine.
