That is a very vauge question. What internals do you have? What Fuel system? How do you plan on tuning? etc....

Lots of stuff that goes along with a '200hp' hit, not just hitting the button.

Tony.

if all the internals r forged, and go on and get a skat crank, the motor will do 200 all day. but u will need to do more then just motor work for the car to do a 200 shot

As long as you don't peg the rev limiter often while spraying a 200 shot you should be ok. Ask me how I know that

There's lots of factors that play in bigger shots of nitrous. For example, I have a 4340 Callies crank and a 4340 Callies rods. Those can take a lot nitrous. I also have a standalone fuel system to avoid leaning my motor out. I use safeties like a WOT switch AND an RPM window switch and a hobbs switch for drops in fuel pressure. I have timing retard and rev limit built into my MSD box. However some weak links are 2 bolt mains (use studs though) and head bolts on Fel Pro head gaskets. I also have a less favorable alloy piston (SRP) for nitrous. JE says the crown is "designed for moderate amounts of nitrous" but moderate is not defined. So moral of the story is you really have to cover your butt for a shot of that size. I've run a 175 with no problems and would probably be ok on the 200 but I'm kinda nervous about going over even with the all the stuff I've got. I could probably swing a 250 but the mains and the head bolts scare me the most.

I've got the RPM switch, FPSS, and all that stuff which in my opinion, is mandatory for nitrous of any size shot. But the stand alone fuel system, thats a good idea that I haven't tried yet...
